Autoparts

A spectral lady has been seen making her way from the Horse and Groom pub opposite to Autoparts - she then exited through a side door. Other phenomena, including items moving by themselves and CDs that vanished, never to reappear have occurred here too.

Update 28/7/22: I spoke to Michael who had been at the business for 22 years and he says that while things still happen they do not occur as often as they used to since the upper floor had been converted to flats, which was "a year and a bit" ago. He says that they still get stuff falling off shelves, personal items (keys, CDs etc) going missing and never being found again and seeing people out of the corner of the eye; they would sometimes see such a figure and then turn to assist them and they'd be gone. He mentioned the old lady, again out of the corner of the eye, being seen near where the old doorway used to be; he didn't say if she was still being noticed. Most of the phenomena seemed to be focussed on the upstairs portion when it was part of the business. When it was a workshop, the lady from the pub used to tell the staff that she sometimes saw a little girl staring out of the upstairs window. Staff had also detected a coldness (which they admitted could be a "quirk" of the building), the smell of pipe tobacco, and, when they were downstairs, they would hear people walking about upstairs - but there was never anyone up there. It was while the upstairs was used a bicycle store room that they would sometimes heard a loud bang, and upon investigation, a spare wheel had been unhooked and fell to the floor. There was no logical reason how it had been lifted up and over the hook. And when they were passing the room, the would see bicycle wheels spinning on the bikes as if someone had just that moment spun it up. Again, there was no-one around to account for this. To this day, the staff would sometimes still hear noises from upstairs but they wouldn't know if they due to the tenants or not.
