Hollytrees Museum

A spectral lady, described as "A White Lady" (though some have said she is grey!) has been seen here, assumed to be Anne Lisle, whose portrait hangs here. Temperature drops, perfume and a piano playing have been reported too.

Update: 26/2/20: Ben Paites of the Colchester Museums resource centre replied to my email, saying "I am afraid to say that all accounts we have of Hollytrees are purely anecdotal. No members of staff I know of has personally experienced any activity in the building, the accounts mostly come from visitors. Furthermore, none of this is documented in any way so I couldn't even send you copies of those accounts. The only one I know off the top of my head is a child seeing a figure of a woman in a mirror in one of the galleries."
