A woman in clothing from the Edwardian era has been seen in the upper circle; additionally, music has been heard too, starting on the night of a full moon near the roof of the backstage area, and then coming down to the stage area. It is also said that, "At first the music will move slowly from one location to the other but then the tempo of the location changes and builds until the witnesses get a headache." In the vicinity of the auditorium close to the foyer's main doors, people have felt fatigue and a pins and needles sensation and, again, music is heard. A 2025 compendium of theatre ghost stories adds that "an older gentleman wearing period dress, a top hat, and holding a cane" was seen at the bottom of a spiral staircase in 1983. The figure asked an employee if there were any shows on but when he was told that the theatre was closed, the man "huffed and started to walk away." At the time, several staff members were moving a large safe down the stairs and it slipped, falling from their grasp. Fearing for the stranger's safety, a check was made but no-one was there and nobody saw him leave.

Update 15/9/21: Hayley Trust, the Theatre Administrator emailed me; "I have spoken to a colleague at the theatre here who has a large interest regarding ghosts at the theatre and he says that there has not been any activity for some considerable years now."
