Shaw Green Lane

A spectral soldier on horseback has been seen charging down this lane before falling to the ground; it is thought that he was felled by an arrow to the neck as he was heading for Edward IV's camp during the Wars of the Roses. Strangulated screams and gurglings are also blamed on his demise. Another similar story of a felled rider exists on the Burgage and some details may have become confused between the two sightings.
