The Yew Tree Inn36 The Street, Manuden, Essex CM23 1DJ 01279 814279 Two ghosts are said to haunt this building but there are few details, except that strange noises and voices have been heard upstairs. August 22nd 2024: Helen Cooper Turner emailed me with the following information; "20 some years ago I stayed there in the attic room and was “visited” by an old lady during the night who proceeded to try and pull the covers off my bed. When I told the landlady she admitted to me the pub was haunted by 2 ghosts - A Cavalier and an old lady, whom I can describe to this day." |
