Alswick Hall

Lady Lemon apparently disappeared into the lake (never to be found, it is said) on the approach to this hall when her horses bolted after seeing an unidentified apparition on the road ahead; her carriage overturned, casting everyone into the waters. On the anniversary of the tragedy, the sound of hooves and a carriage's wheels can be heard - but sadly this date is not recorded.
