Corn Exchange

The Corn Exchange was built on the site of St Mildred's church which may explain the presence of an ecclesiastical figure sometimes seen at the back of the basement film theatre, or the spectre may perhaps be connected with the Court of Common Pleas that also stood on the site. The ghost of a young boy has also been seen. There is also poltergeist type behaviour, attributed to a commissionaire who died in the building. A worker named Jack, who died here, is said to have returned after death, playing jokes on the staff members.
