Bradwell Windmill

According to local legend, the ghost of a miller's daughter haunts the windmill. She was found dead in one of the upper floors after two local youths fought for her affection, with one of them being killed in the process. Another version says that, "In 1685 the daughter of a local miller was courted by two young men. One of her would-be-suitors killed the other in a fit of jealousy, and he was subsequently gibbeted for the murder. Shortly afterwards the young girl herself was found dead in her father’s mill."
