There have been a number of apparitions sighted here; a pair of semi-translucent legs dangling from the staircase in the control tower and within, a figure hanging by a ligature around their neck; a woman in white (described as wearing a long skirt with a fitted bodice and whose hair was slightly curled and about shoulder length) near a stairwell; dark shadows and shadowy figures; and a glowing red light, like an eye seen hovering 6 feet above the ground. There have been a multitude of poltergeist-like activity, for instance; doors heard opening and shutting, banging and scraping sounds, taps found turned on, the sound of high heeled footsteps on carpeted floors, blinds and windows that had just been closed being found open moments later, chairs found disordered after being arranged, and a cleaner being "whacked" quite hard on the leg and then found out it was the pipe of her vacuum cleaner, even though she wasn't using it at that moment.
