This pub is haunted by mysterious sounds and knockings - maybe the ghost of Mary Shemmings who killed her grandchild by poisoning him after she objected to looking after the two unsupported children of her daughter, Caroline? Justice caught up with Mary and she was hanged in Ipswich.

Update 5/2/20: General Manager Tracey Murphy informs me, "No I am sorry there hasn't [been any odd occurrences here]."
