Chequers Inn

Glasses fall off the shelves without breaking here; a figure has been seen coming through a doorway that is now sealed up. Another figure has been seen by employees out of the corner of the eye but when staff turn to serve them, there is no-one there. A local story is that when the pub was a coaching inn, a groom stumbled and was killed when he fell under the wheels of a coach.
