Cineworld (Closed)

Aspects Leisure Park, Newnham Avenue, Bedford, Bedfordshire MK41 9LW

Scratching noises from overhead and the feeling of hands on patron's arms and legs in screen 4 have been reported here. The "crash bar" on the exit door has been pushed and then the doors being flung open; seat 8 in row A also seems to be pushed down on its own accord. Also, cleaners have had apples and sweets thrown at them, and even found the auditorium full of litter after it has been cleaned. Rattling (like chains dragging) and whispers has also been heard, and the screen remains colder than the others. A monk-like figure has also been seen floating in the lobby and the ladies toilets (which is next door to screen 4); in the latter incident, it was seen in the mirror and passed through the toilet door while in the lobby it walked through the glass doors into the car park. On one occasion, a kettle came to the boil even though it had been unplugged. A doppelganger of an employee has also been seen in the cinema, even when he wasn't on the premises. Although the monk has been attributed to the notion that the leisure park was built on the site of a medieval priory, there is a rumour that a young man, whose aunt worked at the cinema hanged himself from a tree in the vicinity but this story can't be verified.
