A member of the kitchen staff saw an apparition briefly, accompanied by a lingering smell of perfume. The ghost is thought to be Sarah "Sadie" Barnet, a landlady who disciplined students who stopped here and fell short of her standards. It is unclear if the hauntings still continue.
