Footsteps on the stairs, noises from the bathroom, pint glasses sliding off tables and the dog reacting to "nothing" in the Barrel Bar have been reported here. A man with a walking stick has been seen in the bedrooms - and the sound of the stick knocking on a door has also been heard. This ghost is said to be former landlord Harry Franklin who cut his own throat at the start of the 19th century. Apparently it took a week for him to die.
