The Angel Hotel

There are said to be two phantoms in this hotel; banging noises and disappearing items have been reported in The Dickens Room but there do not seem to be any recent accounts. According to legend, fiddler was said to have tried to trace the route of a tunnel under the hotel, playing his instrument so that people could follow his progress. Suddenly the sound stopped and his terrified dog emerged from the catacombs. The fiddler was never seen again.
