Bee's Barbers

8 Causeway, Godmanchester, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE29 2HA

When this was known as "The Barber Shoppe" run by Fred Cooper, a multitude of phenomena occurred in the rooms upstairs; it is said that in the 1920s, a seamstress hung herself from a beam. This room later became a ladies hairdressers, and water would be found running or hand dryers turned on when staff arrived to unlock the building; towels would also be found strewn around, and on one occasion, cups that had been left to drain were found replaced in their customary place on a shelf. Footsteps, loud knockings and "bumping" had also been heard. Things were quieter in the barber's shop itself, but here, things had also been found moved and towels and magazines scattered on the floor in the morning. It is not known if similar reports abound to this day.
