Cromwell Museum

People passing the building have heard a loud knocking sound as if on a large wooden door - but the doorway is now bricked up! A deep male voice, speaking in old English, has been heard in area where Cromwell's hat, boots and walking stick are on display. The doors to a desk are sometimes found open - even though the latch is still secure.

Update 6/8/20: Stuart Orme, who looks after the museum, informs me, "Other than that nothing has been reported historically here, and my predecessor as curator (who was here for over 20 years) has said that he never experienced anything. I’ve spent a of time in the building, including late nights during our recent refurbishment, and have never had anything happen or sensed anything – unlike other places I’ve worked."
