The Black Star

There were frequent interruptions to the beer pump's gas supply; there have also been problems with the pub's water, telephone and gas supply. The door to the kitchen would often swing noisily as if someone had walked through it. A tiny old man wearing out-of-date clothing and a hat like a boatsman's has been seen a few times, and has obtained the nickname "Bill". A spectral lady wearing a long white frilly dress was once seen moving very quickly through the bar. Another male phantom, this one with a beard, was seen sitting on the sofa. Other phenomena include a vase being picked up by something invisible, turning a somersalt and landing back on the floor without spilling any water. A woman's voice has been heard mumbling, and a groaning noise heard coming from a toilet cubicle. The licensee also had his ear flicker very forcefully too!
