St Mary The Virgin's Abbey

Phantom monks (or Black Canons) have been seen walking from nearby St Nicholas's Church and then down via an avenue of trees to Abbey Fields (where the ruins of the old Priory are to be found). When they reach the location of the entrance, the phantoms vanish. Chanting and choral singing has also been heard coming from this location.
