The Vine Inn

Strange footsteps have been heard above the bar, but there is nothing there. A family member was pushed to the ground in the landlord's living area; the same lady was working in the kitchen when she saw a man in the corridor outside, and she later admitted seeing a woman in a long, flowing dress seemingly dating from the 18th century on the landing. She may be the lady briefly seen reflected in the glass behind the bar; she was seen only briefly but her hair was said to be in a bun. Upon investigation, there was no-one there and no where that she could have gone.

Update 9/9/20 Simon Hartley, the manager replied to my appeal for recent events at the Vine as follows: "I’ve been at the Vine 15 years (of which 5 I lived here with my wife) and haven't seen anything ghostly despite being a bit spooked when on my own. However, of the current staff, two have independently seen the same sightings out the corner of their eyes of a young boy and a Collie dog. Interestingly they both saw the same things before discussing it together."
