The King's House

There are unverified stories that a few centuries ago, a sealed room had been found with the skeleton of a man at a table bending over a parchment. He was said to have been in the act of signing the paper when he was murdered. There are hints that he may have haunted the building.
In the last few decades, there were stories of a Victorian lady too and people would hear her footsteps in the hall and go out to greet the visitor, but no-one was there. There is also another phantom, a servant (?) girl nicknamed "Annie" who is reputed to be the daughter of a doctor who once lived here. In recent years, people leaving the building at night have seen the attic lights snap on, and they have heard Annie running and giggling - she is said to be very active when school parties visit the building. One of the solicitors who works in the building said, "there have been sounds of a child and various other noises that come from ‘Annie’s attic’. I have personally experienced a few different things as I often work in the building late. One particular night as I was leaving and switching off lights as I went, there was a flash of something ahead of me and the lights all went out and what I can only describe as a force pass over me and lights came back on and then I heard a noise upstairs in the attic. It was not a frightening experience. There have also been sightings of a face at the windows after everyone has left."
