Thetford Priory

A shadowy or misty form (or silhouette), said to be a monk in a black habit has been seen in the ruins, and was observed descending stairs that no longer existed! On one occasion, a group of investigators saw a figure, or shape (believed by some to be a monk) start to descend the stairs but it retreated when the group decided to confront him; however, when they reached the area, the monk, and stairs had vanished. Other manifestations, including latin chanting and small groups of monks walking around have also been reported.
