Rose and Crown (Closed)
41 St. Nicholas Street, Thetford, Norfolk IP24 1BE
Prior to this pub closing, a friendly spirit was blamed for pranks that were played here; one example was the landlord coming down in the morning to find the pub’s pictures turned upside down inside their frames. The ghost(s) would seem to have a predilection for the pub’s pool table. The landlord would often hear the sound of a match being played while he lay in bed. He would come down the following day to find the balls out on the table despite them being put away at night.
