Darts stuck in the board, and beer mats affixed to the walls fall away for no reason; movement and flashes of light have also been seen in the corridor from the bar to the ladies toilets and breakfast room and a black shape observed here too. There is also a smell of baking bread from time to time; unexplained mists have been seen too. As far as visible apparitions, a man in clothing from the 1600s and having a pointed beard has been seen in the bar (those standing in his spot sometimes feel "a little shove"!), while a lady, thought to be former landlady Mrs Marshall, has been reported seated under the clock.
