Roos Hall

On Christmas Eve, a phantom coach and four (or two, according to some sources) horses is said to emerge from Barsham Marshes, and driven on by a headless coachman pulls up to the door of the Hall. A large oak tree was once a gibbet and it is said that the Devil will appear if you walk around it six times; there are tales that a spectral white woman has been seen sometimes doing just this, and some stories say that criminals executed here have aso been encountered. The Devil's footprint is also said to be seen in the haunted Guest Room (though there are no details about the spectre itself). In addition, "the face of a young, pale girl waving from one of the first-floor windows" is another reported phantom for this location.
