Lyveden New Bield

A bearded man, said to be looking "worried" has been seen standing at one of the upper windows; however, this building is unfinished and "he" would have had no floor on which to stand. Additionally, it is said that drums of pipes have been heard in the Middle (or Moated) Garden nearby. They were marching to London to be inspected by the King, but over a hundred men turned and decided to return home to Scotland when they heard rumours that they were to be sent to the West Indies. The mutineers were captured by King's forces at New Bield and court martialled, three of the leaders being executed.

Update 20/1/22: Jennifer Hatton, the Property Operations Manager replied to my email for any recent sightings: "There is no history of ghosts recorded at Lyveden unfortunately."
