Great Cressingham Bridge

At least four times since the 1960s, drivers had come into Ye Olde Windmill pub in a state of distress, convinced that they had hit an elderly man on Great Cressingham Bridge. The descriptions were all the same, and occurred during the winter months. Drivers would check for the man after seeing him but could find no trace of him or damage to their cars. People were in such a panic that the pub would send out search parties to look for any casualties, not expecting to find anyone. They never did.
