Stiperstones

"Wild Edric" and his courtiers have been seen riding through the countryside - and the Stiperstones are said to be their favourite "haunt". Their appearance is said to foretell imminent war. Edric was an Anglo Saxon who resisted Norman rule but eventually made his peace with King William. Eventually, Edric tried to break free and his lands were seized by the Normans.
