Linley Hall

A monk is seen in the grounds here; in the 19th century, his ghost appeared in a dream, and she also heard knockings by the fireplace. When this area was excavated, a robe, a crucifix and a portrait of a monk were found. When the items were moved to the study, the knockings stopped but the monk persisted.
