It was said that the Hall was (is?) the home of "13 different ghosts", but no more details were included in the contemporary press (apart from the mention that all of the phantoms were friendly!) but in intervening years, some details of the tally of ghosts have emerged including a monk who is said to pass through the old arched doorway (and who likes to pinch ladies’ bottoms!), a young Victorian boy and a coach and four which "rattles through the courtyard at midnight."
