The Lamb InnLamb Yard, Haymarket, Norwich, Norfolk NR1 3RU 01603 625365
Footsteps, knockings on doors at night and unwashed cutlery found cleaned up the next day have occurred here. Children have told of an old man sitting on the end of their beds "telling stories" - he has also been seen in the courtyard too and it is even claimed that he occasionally enjoys a drink with patrons. The friendly ghost is believed to be former landlord John Aggas, who was killed by his brother-in-law Timothy Hardy after Aggas has tried to settle a row between him and his wife. However, historical records show that perhaps Timothy was arguing with John's wife.
Update 30/7/20: Fi Hirschle, a worker at the pub, claims psychic abilities and related some of the entities that she has picked up on. With regard to objective phenomena, she says, "We have a mischievous spirit that will move things in the kitchen while we are in service and he likes to say staff members names as we walk upstairs. Only certain staff have ever heard their names being called." Link: Norfolk Live |
