Strangers Club Ltd22-24 Elm Hill, Norwich, Norfolk NR3 1HG 01603 623814 A man who perished in the fire of 1507 that destroyed much of the city has been reported here; his footsteps have been heard in the area of the snooker table. He saved his wife and children by passing them down from an upstairs window but was overcome by smoke and died; the Club building was built on the site of the tragedy. |
