Lord Hill Inn

The cellar was once a morgue and has recesses in the wall where corpses were stored. An alarm indicator continually registered that a door to open of the recesses was open - which it was. The landlord was sure he closed it and tried again and the panel still registered an open hatchway. The landlord simply isolated the door off the alarm panel. A light bulb was sometimes found removed from its fitting in the cellar but not smashed on the floor - it had been placed carefully on top of a barrel. A shape was seen through net curtains in a closed off bar - it is in this area that the landlady's dog refused to enter. A new landlord found that he was sealed in the cellar when the door refused to open. On inspection, the key had been bent through 90 degrees.

Update 13/9/20The landlord (?) responded to my query on Facebook and informed me they had experienced nothing despite being there for 19 years.
