Lath Mansion

During World War 2, a man saw a woman outside this building and said that "She kind of glowed and I could see she was wearing a long dress, I’d say Victorian." After the witness progressed a few yards she faded away. In the 1980s, when the NHS were based here, there were many tales of ghosts, such as wailing coming from a cupboard (which, it is said, concealed a priest hole). There was also a Victorian man on the stairs, and some kind of replay of "the merriment of years gone by" when a worker went back in after the end of a Christmas Party. In the early 2000s when the building was now a private home, workers claimed that they could hear crying, and that a story was in circulation involving a ‘Tudor’ maiden who became pregnant, her father bricking her in at an unknown location in the house. However, other people who lived here at this time experienced nothing!
