Fairstead Community Shop

5 Centrepoint, Fairstead, King's Lynn, Norfolk PE30 4SR

This charitable establishment experiences poltergeist-like activity all year round, but it peaks from late September to December. Staff have experienced items thrown at them; hair pulled and other sensations of being touched; a guitar sounding by itself; and voices one of which told a worker to "**** off!". The shop would often be opened up in the morning to find toys on the floor, or the lights or radio on. The owner's daughter has spoken to a little girl aged about 6 near the till called "Mia", but she is not visible to anyone else. A worker in the convenience store next door was in the storeroom when the lights went out, and when she turned around, a little girl with long hair and wearing a nightdress was staring at her from the corner. The worker blinked and the little girl was gone. There is also the story that another worker heard a voice laugh in her ear; naturally no one was present to explain this.
