Although activity has quietened down, in previous years workers have reported the sensation of being watched from the top of the stairwell, and an employee told of hearing her name called out. Regarding physical phantoms, a man with short dark hair and a light blue shirt in the upstairs corridor was sending bending over some bin bags but then disappeared. There also used to be a figure who ran from one side of the store to the other at great speed; this usually happened in the winter months, both in the morning and at locking time in the evening. Other incidents include a cup that threw itself onto the aisle floor but was undamaged. There have also been tales of very loud bangs and crashes, like items falling - but nothing could be found to account for these sounds. Following this, my informant scolded the source of these noises to behave, and it complied!
