Grace Dieu Priory

A nun dressed in white has been seen in, and around the ruins. Theories as to her identity are that, in life, she disliked her life as a nun and decided to run away to her family but perished in a snowstorm; or that she may be Agnes Litherland, who ran the priory when it was closed down during the reign of Henry VIII. She is said to have hidden the priory's treasure in a tunnel but when she refused to disclose its location to soldiers, she was murdered.
