The Old Three Pigeons

Highwayman Sir Humphrey Kynaston has been reported riding his steed past this public house, which is said to have been his "local". People have reported being tapped on the shoulder (it happens so often they take it for granted now!) and loud, unexplained banging has been heard upstairs. Many years ago, a man in a black cape passed through the pub before disappearing - he was reported to be walking a foot and a half above the current level of the ground. Poltergeist-like activity has also occurred including lights, taps and the downstairs music system coming on, small items disappearing and reappearing, and items being dumped on to bed in a locked room.
