Shugborough Hall
Milford, near Stafford, Staffordshire ST17 0UP

Fragrances, noises at nighttime and moving objects have been reported here. A Lady Harriet is said to haunt this hall, but is rarely seen - she knocks on doors and her silk dress has been heard rustling. She is said to have died in childbirth in a room that is said to have a chill.
Howeer, there have been two sightings and they both came from the same witness; once she walked up the stairs to her flat when she stopped to take her shoes off, whereupon she glimpsed the bottom half of the Grey Lady's dress who was standing nearby. The figure had vanished when the witness stood back up. The same witness woke at around 2am and saw the Grey Lady walk through the wall which separates the bedroom from the bathroom, across the foot of the bed and through the other wall. The ghost did not trigger the motion sensor alarm in the offices into which she had passed. This same lady even picked up an explained extra voice on her phone's sound recording app - a man saying "Hello!"
Update 28/9/21: The Hall responded to my Facebook request for any recent hauntings: "[there has been nothing recent...] that we know of. The very few reports we do get are usually of rooms feeling cold, however we can explain that with our very temperamental heating system! Myself and other colleagues have personally walked the mansion and estate at all hours and have never experienced anything."
