RAF Sculthorpe

During night-time training exercises, team members were surprised to see 7 men walking down the run-way oblivious to events around them. They were shoulder-to-shoulder and arranged so that the tallest man was in the middle, and the shortest on the outside. The men were "lit up like a Christmas tree" and were soon lost behind a building. A search yielded no sign of them but a colleague at another airbase said that this was not the first time they had been seen. There is a suggestion that a 7 man crew had left the base in the 1950s on a mission which took them to Norway and then to the Russian border from which they never returned. Other ghostly figures seen on the base include a black man, seen playing tennis and hitting a ball against the old met office building; and another man who has been seen staring out of a room in the corner of the fire station.
