The ghost here is said to be a Jacobean or a Cavalier. c.2010, CAMRA tells us, "the ghost is reported to make noise somewhere in the upper storeys of the pub."

Update 20/9/20: The pub tells me that when it comes to sightings of ghosts and whether anything has been seen recently, "Not in the last few years that I know of."
