Hotel de Paris

A chef saw a ghost in the cellars and he declared he would never go down there alone again. In 2019 a guest in room 8 said he heard a rustling noise. In addition, morse-code like tappings has been heard, a black shape was seen sitting on one of the beds, a shadowy figure was seen moved across the doorway of the men's toilets, security lights have gone off for no reason, and a guest found unexplained scratches on their leg when they awoke.

Update 30/11/2025: General Manager Jonathon Caswell told me, "I have managed the hotel and been around morning, noon and late night for 5 years and have no sense of anything in this hotel. We also wouldn’t want it published in anyway if there was, I know there are some stories online in regards to this but it will always remain a mystery as to whether they are true. No customer has ever reported anything."
