The Gin Trap

The properietors of this pub started to experience odd phenomena soon after they took over the property in 1987. The landlord awoke one evening to find all the lights were on, and the doors open. His Rottweiler was cowering in fear downstairs and the cats staring "fixedly" into space. Bangings and shoutings were later heard, and a visitor saw a man in her bedroom (she told the intruder that she was too old to be frightened, pulled the covers over her head and went back to sleep!). A barmaid had also seen a dark figure by the fire at a time when the pub was not yet open to customers. By 1993, there were said to be fewer disturbances, but when the proprietor's children came to stay they always said goodnight to a man in the corner of their room - whom only they could see...
