Some say that the hauntings of a Grey Lady, identified as Armine L'Estrange, continue while others say that they no longer occur. Armine's ghost was incensed when a prized rug was cut up by a descendant and distributed to nearby townsfolk. Even though the fragments were retrieved, Armine was not placated.
