The Harbour
Wells-next-The Sea, Norfolk NR23 1AR
A woman dressed in Victorian clothing has been seen in the area of the harbour wall, or the beach or water's edge. She is normally seen in the early morning and vanishes into the sea if approached. She is thought to be Henrietta Jenkinson who in 1927, was pestered so mercilessly for maintenance payments for her children that she theatened that she would "do her worst" if the harrassment persisted. Her body was later found in the harbour.
