Plas Newydd

In the 19th century, Lady Eleanor Butler and Sarah Ponsonby lived here, possibly as lesbians. It is said that they can be seen every Christmas Eve walking around the garden but are only seen by men. It is also said that visitors have experienced "loud bangs" while on the upper floors, and unexplained shadows are said to move of their own accord.

Update 27/7/21: Gail, a worker at Plas Newydd informs me, "From working here at Plas Newydd we are all feel it has a very gentle peaceful atmosphere and there are no unexplained phenomena that we are aware of."
