A large man in black has been seen in the area of the music room, where footsteps have been heard. A shadowy figure and more footfalls have been experienced in the banqueting hall. The ladies toilets have played host to a spectre, who is described as unhappy and wears a black cloak, hat and boots. There are also stories of stones being thrown by something invisible. In the vicinity of the ride called "The Hex" are stories of a man in black, and a spectre in riding clothes. There are also tales of phantom soldiers, but details are lacking.
