Tissington Hall

Scatching sounds, doors closing and the apparition of a man in black have been seen in the cellar. The sound of laughter and a spectral man and woman have been reported in the dining room. Wailing, sighs, taps and raps have been heard in an upstairs corridor and in room 4 are blamed on Wilhelmina, a young girl who died in agony in 1862 after accidentally setting fire to herself. A 2025 online paper says that a dark shade has been seen by the bed in her room, and that there have been strange noises heard and lavender perfume detected.

Update 4/12/21: Debbie replied to my email asking about recent phenomena; "Not that I know of and it is not something we tend to focus on at Tissington as it is a family home."
