Winster Hall

The spectre of a girl, reputed to be the daughter of former owner Francis Moore is said to haunt the forecourt of this hall as a "White Lady"; the legend is that she fell in love with a coachman but her parents refused to accept this union, choosing a man they thought was a better match for her. On the eve of the wedding, the coachman and his lover jumped to their deaths from the top of the hall.

Update 16/2/22: Mandy Heathcote, the administrator replied to my query for any recent phenomena: "I'm aware that there has been mention of Winster Hall in various books regarding hauntings but I can confirm that we have had no reports of such in the time that we have owned the property."
