The Druid Inn

An old lady with a kind, endearing smile is said to be seen, seated in the corner of one of the downstairs room.

Update 20/2/22: Hannah Owen replied to my email asking about any recent phenomena: "I have been landlady of the Druid Inn since 2020 and can confirm at no time has there been any unusual activity. I am often there alone and have had no odd experiences."

On October 31 2025, the BBC featured a small interview with Mercer who took over the running of the pub in July 2025 with his wife Gypsy; they would come down in the morning and find things, such as tables and chairs moved. The first time the landlord slept in the pub on his own he experienced sounds and lights that he was sure had been turned off; he only had half an hours sleep as he was traipsing up and down the stairs all night. There was also a time when the control to the beer supply in the cellar had also been turned off; the switch was in the corner and was still covered in undisturbed cobwebs. One Saturday night the chef puts the meats to cook overnight in the kitchen but on one occasion the oven was found turned off the next morning; the manual switch was located high on the wall and impossible to reach without a stepladder. The CCTV, activated by motion, hadn't been activated. A ghostly old woman (a "white lady") is said to go through a sealed up door and is seen out of the corner of the eye.
